Abby Younce

My motto“Let all that you do be done with love”. I’ve found that the key to making lasting changes is having a purpose behind them, whether it’s out of love for others in your life, love for adventure or hobbies, or out of love for yourself – mind, body, and soul. Together, we will find what motivates you and implement healthy changes backed by this strong purpose! The quality of your life is so important and I am excited to help you feel fully nourished, energized, and fueled to accomplish and enjoy the things that you love.

My “why”I always wanted to find a career that allowed me to make a difference in people’s lives. I realized that nutrition was the perfect way for me to do that, as it applies to every person at least three times a day! In my opinion, the end goal is not to be a clean-eating gym junkie, but rather to start viewing “health” as a means to be the best version of yourself! When you are well-nourished and flourishing, you have the power to think clearly, to act boldly, and to achieve goals otherwise barricaded by health complications. My mission is to support you in your journey of creating a lasting healthy lifestyle and getting back to all the amazing things this life has to offer!

My credentialsI completed a bachelor’s of science in kinesiology & health, major in nutrition and dietetics at Miami University of Ohio. I then completed a dietetic internship at Miami Valley Hospital. I am a registered dietitian and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Dayton Dietetic Association.

Favorite indulgences: White cheddar popcorn (or any kind of popcorn for that matter)

Two staples always in my kitchen: Granny Smith apples and garlic (beware, everything I cook might have a tinge of garlic…)

Favorite type of movement: Yoga and Pilates (you’re telling me I can work out while laying on the floor in stretchy pants?!)

Favorite way to spend time outside of the office: Cooking, fishing, hanging with friends/family, hiking, listening to live music, napping, and exploring unique shops, restaurants, breweries, markets (just to name a few)

Most favorite cookbook or recipe inspiration: Pinterest! (been pinning recipes for over a decade)

A personal touch: I am an Ohio girl through and through! I was born and raised in Troy, OH, went to college in Oxford, OH, did my dietetic internship in Dayton, OH, and now I work in Yellow Springs, OH! (you could say I’m locally grown lol)
