EVOL Foods

Yes… I’m well aware that my {big} motto is to eat food in it’s least processed form {i.e. not from a box or bag}. My clients often hear me say… “Would your great-grandmother have bought those Doritos?” etc.

… so why am I promoting food out-of-a-box?

call me a hypocrite… I guess. 😉

kidding. {kind of.}

But really. Evol Foods’ philosophy is to make frozen food from real food.

Straight from their website: “When did frozen food stop having food as an ingredient? Nowadays, most packaging in the frozen food section reads like the periodic table of elements. That might be okay if we were all a bunch of science wizards. But the last time we checked, chemistry teachers were still grading on a curve. Food should make up the majority of what you’re eating – stuff like antibiotic-free meat, vegetables, spices and whole grains. The kind of food your grandparents grew right in their own backyard. We’re pretty sure they didn’t raise modified chicken powder or plant rows of partially hydrogenated soybeans. When you pick up our bean, rice and cheddar burrito, it will actually have beans, rice and cheddar inside. That’s the least we can do.”

EVOL’s food philosophy:

  • Nothing artificial. EVOL’s products have no artificial flavors, colors, additives, preservatives or fillers.
  • All natural proteins. EVOL’s Chicken, beef, pork, eggs and cheese come from animals on US Family Farms that are fed a 100% vegetarian diet and raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones.
  • Hormone-free cheese. EVOL’s cheese is rBGH, rBST and rennet free.
  • Non-gmo grains, vegetables & oils. EVOL’s grains, vegetables and oils are GMOFree.

Where is EVOL sold?

  • EVOL can be found in over 7,000 retailers nationwide such as Whole Foods Markets, Stop N Shop, Costco, Safeway, Kroger, Target and Publix.

Point blank. If you have to keep some convenience food in your freezer for times when you are in a pinch, then try EVOL Foods.

Every variety I’ve tried, I’ve loved. Ingredient lists I can pronounce. Hooray.
