My motto – I believe we are all a work in progress. We can never expect to be perfect but can strive to show up as the best version of ourselves every day by maintaining a focus on wellness through food, movement, and practices that bring happiness!
My “why” – My interest in nutrition started in my high school years. After struggling with weight fluctuations throughout my young life, I had discovered a love for fitness and exercise. Soon after, I realized how vital nutrition is in conjunction with fitness – a combination that ultimately helped me feel better than I ever had before. Within my first semester of college, I experienced symptoms of hormone dysregulation including chronic fatigue, unexplained weight gain, and the loss of my menstrual cycle. After years of working with doctors to treat my symptoms, I was diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism. In trialing various treatment methods, a primary focus on nutrition and movement have provided the most significant benefits in my journey to wellness. It is my mission to work together to incorporate sustainable wellness practices that optimize health, balance hormones, and guide others on their path to wellbeing.
My credentials – I earned my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Nutrition, & Health from Miami University after double majoring in Exercise Science and Dietetics. I stayed at Miami to complete my dietetic internship and master’s degree. Throughout my internship I had a focus on community and clinical nutrition where I completed a Master’s Thesis working with local families participating in WIC and HeadStart. I am a registered dietitian and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
