My motto – Balance over perfection. I believe all foods can fit within a healthful and fulfilling diet (talking about a pattern of eating here, NOT a restrictive way of eating). There’s room for both the meals that support your body and the ones that simply bring you joy. I am passionate about helping my client’s find a way of cooking and eating that feels satisfying, sustainable, and nourishing for both the body and soul without the stress of chasing perfection.
My “why” – Inspired by the strong women who shaped me and a lifelong love of food, I found my purpose in combining women’s health with nutrition as I learned more about the impact food has on our body in school. I’m passionate about helping women nourish their bodies, minds, and spirits through balanced, joyful eating. In my years as a practicing dietitian I’ve also fallen in love with the GI microbiome — the fascinating world within our gut that influences nearly every aspect of well-being. It’s a fun and rewarding challenge to piece together clients’ symptoms and find ways to support their health and improve their quality of life through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
My credentials – I earned my bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Human Nutrition with minors in Chemistry and Psychology from Clemson University in South Carolina. Thereafter I completed my master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics alongside my dietetic internship at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Several years later I achieved my certification in Nutrition Support (CNSC) while working closely with patients requiring tube feeds in a hospital in Salt Lake City. I am a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian.

Favorite indulgences: Anything with cinnamon sugar and icing (cinnamon roll, cookies, donuts, ice cream, etc).
Two staples always in my kitchen:Peanut butter & my backup peanut butter.
Favorite type of movement: Running, especially on a beautiful trail. But cycling classes are a close second!
Favorite way to spend time outside of the office: Long walks with friends and family.
Most favorite cookbook or recipe inspiration:Half Baked Harvest. Sometimes the recipes are a bit involved, but man are the pictures of the food beautiful! Her recipes are a great reminder that food can be fun, not just functional.
A personal touch: A few things that bring me joy and serenity include sipping my coffee in the early and quiet moments of a Saturday morning, being outside in some capacity (walking, running, sitting around a fire), the first snowflakes of a big snow, organizing – anything and everything – while listening to podcasts (in an alternate universe I would be on The Home Edit team), watching HGTV, reading before bed, and experimenting with new recipes to eat with friends and family.
