My motto – “Romaine Calm, You Guac This!” I love food! Food is something everyone needs and knows something about: a true universal language. Unfortunately, with so much information available, messages have become confusing and distorted. Let’s translate the noise together, dig into root-causes and help you live your best life!
My “why” – In my early adult life, I observed loved ones stressing over food choices while focusing on the scale. I loved these people and food too much to accept this as the norm, so I began studying nutrition determined to keep enjoying food. I learned the scale is only a single tool, there is so much more to feeling your best self. Now as a mom, my best self means having energy to make memories and engage with my children (eventually grandchildren!). Whether I’m supporting a child with growth challenges, a middle-aged man with uncontrolled blood sugars, or walking a grandmother through the grocery store, my mission remains the same: to serve others by sharing the joy of food and providing evidence-based care that leads to sustainable long-term health.
My credentials – I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health, and Sports Studies with a Dietetics major from Miami University. I also completed my dietetic internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Currently, I am working toward becoming a Certified LEAP Therapist. I am a Registered Dietitian with over a decade of experience working with clients across the entire lifespan. I continue to be a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the International Lactation Consultant Association.

Favorite indulgence: Ice cream and dark chocolate
Two staples always in my kitchen: Just 2?! Guacamole and microgreens
Favorite type of movement: I started walking with my mother in my teen years. It always helped me clear my mind and connect with her. Now, I love sharing this with my own teens!
Favorite way to spend time outside of the office: Kings Island with the family, trying new foods, experimenting in our garden, tossing the ball with our goldendoodle, thrifting, or cuddling up with a good book.
Most favorite cookbook or recipe inspiration: Did I mention I love trying new foods? My grandmother gifted me several of her older cookbooks with her notes in the margins! She also gave me “Joy of Cooking,” which is a staple in my kitchen. My 2 other favorites are: “Diabetes Meals by the Plate,” which features beautiful graphics and simple recipes, and “The Minimalist Baker’s Everyday Cooking,” which offers plant-based, allergen-friendly recipes. Minimalist Baker also has an excellent blog and social media presence.
A personal touch: Before my first nutrition class, I wanted to be a pilot. I am an adventure seeker who loved flying a T-37 Talon training jet before falling in love with the world of nutrition (and my husband!). Now with kids, I have minimized my risk somewhat, but I still love heading to amusement parks or picking up new outdoor skills. Most recently, my husband and I learned how to sail!
