My LEAP Journey, Phase Two

Day 13 has arrived, which means it’s time for Phase Three of my LEAP ImmunoCalm Diet. I can’t believe how quickly it’s progressing, and how great I feel. Each day gets easier because I get to add one new food per day. I’ve continued to have no GI symptoms and have now decreased my Zyrtec to every other day (baby steps!).

This phase I didn’t take pictures of everything I ate, but I did write it down. Our precious dog, Doogan, went to doggie heaven this week… and definitely affected my usual eating patterns. Hopefully I’ll be more back on track this week.

Here is my ImmunoCalm Diet template, with foods added for Phase 3. You’ll notice that I haven’t tried every food in Phase 1 and 2, but that’s okay…. just continue moving through all of the phases adding one food (per day) at a time.

Day #8-Tuesday, April 23rd; New food added: Chicken

  • Breakfast: Rice cake(whole grain brown rice, sea salt), honey, sunflower butter (sunflower seeds, evaporated cane syrup, salt)
  • AM Snack: Popcorn with olive oil, sea salt
  • Lunch: Cinnamon Sugar Almonds (almonds, sugar, cinnamon)
  • PM Snack:  Clementine x2
  • Dinner: Lemon chicken diced over  romaine, green olives, cucumber, olive oil
  • PM Snack #2: n/a

Day #9-Wednesday, April 24th; New food added: Apple

  • Breakfast: n/a
  • AM Snack: fresh strawberries
  • Lunch: apple with sunflower butter (sunflower seeds, evaporated cane syrup, salt)
  • PM Snack:  applesauce with cinnamon
  • Dinner: Lemon chicken with green olives
  • PM Snack #2: n/a

Day #10-Thursday, April 25th; New food added: Beef

  • Breakfast: Apple with sunflower butter (sunflower seeds, evaporated cane syrup, salt)
  • AM Snack: Dry roasted almonds
  • Lunch: Romaine with canned tuna (solid white tuna, olive oil, salt), cucumber, green olives, sunflower seeds, drizzled olive oil
  • PM Snack:  Apple sauce with cinnamon
  • Dinner: Beef hamburger patty
  • PM Snack #2: n/a

Day # 11-Friday, April 26th; New food added: Cheese

  • Breakfast: Dried mango (sugar, mango), freeze-dried strawberries
  • AM Snack: Clementine
  • Lunch: Boiled egg
  • PM Snack:  Clementine; Sweet potato chips (sweet potato, sunflower oil, sea salt)
  • Dinner: Corn tortilla with ground beef, romaine, refried beans (pinto beans, water), shredded cheddar
  • PM Snack #2: n/a

Day #12-Saturday, April 26th; New food added: Grapes

  • Breakfast: Apple
  • AM Snack: Cinnamon Sugar Almonds (almonds, sugar, cinnamon)
  • Lunch: Boiled egg; red grapes
  • PM Snack:  Spoonful of sunflower butter (sunflower seeds, evaporated cane syrup, salt) and strawberry preserves (sugar, strawberries, water, fruit pectin, lemon juice concentrate, citric acid) (Yes… I eat nut butters out the jar with a spoon… I could live on them)
  • Dinner: New York strip steak with black pepper; romaine with cucumber and drizzled olive oil
  • PM Snack #2: n/a
