Our Dietitians’ Favorite Things in January 2023:
Emilee’s Favorite: Berkey Water Filter System, $367
“I love knowing that my body isn’t burdened down with the entire responsibility of ensuring the water my family and I drink is better quality. I love that they have a scratch and dents discount so there is a more affordable option.” – Emilee, MS, RDN, LD, CPT
Emma’s Favorite: Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries
“I love these as a sweet treat after dinner and it’s a great way to get in a serving of dark chocolate for the monthly challenge!” – Emma Austing, RDN, LD
Jackie’s Favorite: Truvani Protein Powder, $59.99
“It is a plant-based protein made with real, simple ingredients and tastes great! I have been loving it in smoothies & overnight oats. The chocolate peanut butter flavor is my favorite. I think this will be my new go-to protein powder!”– Jackie Giulivo, RDN
Jenna’s Favorite: Theo Dark Chocolate Salted Almond, $4.49
“Meeting my February challenge goal of dark chocolate easily by including a regular staple I always have on hand!”– Jenna Righter, RD, CLC, LD, CLT
Kim’s Favorite: Quip Refillable Floss Pick, $11
“I have never been good about flossing until I discovered the Quip Floss Pick! I keep one in my bathroom and one in my car (and use it when I’m stopped at a red light). The flosser contains toxin-free floss (no “forever chemicals”), is eco-friendly, and is so convenient!”– Kim Oswalt, MS, RDN, LD, CLT
Leslie’s Favorite: Skin Foodie Healing Hand Treatment, $14
“My hands get so dry in the winter without this healing hand treatment. I slather it on before bed and it helps keep them nice and healthy!”– Leslie Edmunds, MPH, RDN, CDE, CLT
Natalia’s Favorite: Chaco Women’s Revel House Shoe, $80
“I work from home half of the time which means I don’t have to wear shoes but I still want to keep my feet supported when I’m using my standing desk or walking around the house. For that reason I have been loving these new (to me) slippers from one of my favorite footwear brands – Chaco. Not only do they have fantastic arch support for those with flat feet like myself, they are also warm, and have a classic design with easy slip on access. I plan to pack these on our next snowboarding trip later this month.” – Natalia Calzada, MS, RDN, LD
Samantha’s Favorite: Skin Foodie’s Balance Facial Serum, $42
“This helps with dry and irritated skin in the cold of winter!”-Samantha Renner, MS, RDN, LD, CLT
