This post is a day late because Leslie celebrated a (little) too much on NYE, and spent much of New Year’s Day recovering. ooopsie.
This New Year’s Eve, Darrin and I decided to cook up our favorite appetizers from scratch. I was stuffed after the appetizer course, so we didn’t even make our dinner recipe. It was nice cooking our own food at home before we headed over to our friends’ house for champagne and celebrating.
First up! Darrin’s Famous Guacamole. Unfortunately… he won’t release his recipe, and I have no clue what ingredients he uses and how much of what. Here’s a yummy picture of his dip, though.

I’ve never made spinach artichoke dip with fresh spinach. I was hesitant, but ended up loving it. I would def make this recipe again.
Last Recipe: Eclectic Recipe’s Oven Fried Cheese Sticks
These didn’t exactly turn out as planned, but hey they still tasted good! 🙂 The cheese exploded before we took them out of the oven. Some of the reviews said freezing the cheese sticks prior to breading them will help prevent this.
